Well, because I want to add as much skills and certificates to my resume as I can possibly do, I've attended a one-day, 6hrs course called "Responsible Service of Alcohol" today!
If you want to get a job at restaurants, bars, pubs, nightclubs or any venues where alcohol beverages are served to patrons, you must attend this RSA course and obtain a certificate, by the law set by New South Wales government.
I'm doing a part time job at this tutoring centre at the moment, and I think I'm doing my job okay.
But the business itself is kinda unstable right now, so I've decided to get a 2nd job to financially support myself, so that I don't have to worry about the money in my wallet when purchasing vegetables or buying Gloria Jeans iced latte lol, so that I don't have to go back to that time when I had to share one premises with strangers...what's the phobia for humans called? lol
The course talked about how alcohol affects us physically and mentally, the signs of any impending intoxication, types of alcohols, standard drinks, all the strategies we need to know in order to handle those drunk asses lol
This course was more fun than I had expected!
I've never heard of Yoga Meister or Yoga Bomb...why yoga?!
Or about this busted nightclub that existed a few years ago somewhere in Sydney called Test Tube Factory, where people consumed cocktails n those illegal alcohols from real test tubes that scientists actually use in labs, and bar attendants, dressed as nurses, carried syringes with strong cocktails in them, and if patrons paid money, they could get those cocktails injected into their mouths lol!
Although they served those illegal types of alcohols, I liked the whole idea of being scientific like that! lol
Speaking of alcohol, I went to this German restaurant in The Rocks with a friend to have some dinner, and I could finally meet my favourite beer in the world again that I had introduced on this blog in the past, SPATEN! (pronounced shparten...not spayten or spaten lol)
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I LOVE SPATEN!!! I WANT TO MARRY SPATEN!!! :D
I really wanted to drink 1 more middy but gosh, how expensive was it!!
For 500ml, it was nearly $10...holy *$^&!
But the beer matches perfectly with the German food - sausages!
It's so good to be able to experience&enjoy the German food in Sydney, without going all the way to Germany lol
The restaurant is called Lowenbrau, and I highly recommend this restaurant to every single person who loves great bouncy sausages and great golden drinks!
I miss my cats in Japan way too much these days that I feel like going insane & crying until my tears run out & hug my pillows to trick myself that I'm hugging their bums...lol
Someone please let me hug your cats' bumssssssss!
Anyway, my best friend, J's older brother who is 29, had been taken to the hospital after suddenly collapsing on the floor at his home.
The doctors had found out that he had a massive intracerebral haemorrhage (internal bleeding in brain)...
And that was about 3 weeks ago, , and he's still in the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital today.
He was a great pianist, who had lots of jobs including performing at the Opera House.
He could use 4 different languages, English, Korean, French and Russian, all fluently, according to J.
He is married to a wonderful person. He is smart. He had everything.
But now, he's in ICU, with a fear of losing senses & a control over the right side of his body & limbs...and possibly more because the bleeding spot in his brain relates to the use of languages...
It's just not fair!!! It doesn't make any sense at all!
It's like, why him!? Why not me who don't have as much as he does...?!
(I don't hava stable, full time job, I can only use English & Japanese because I have to lol, and I'm not married and I'm not so smart lol)
But the good thing is that, according to J, now he's kinda awake - still can't talk because he is connected to the respirator, but he's conscious & can see his family at the bed side, so that's really a good news!
The docs still can't tell the cause of bleeding since he still hasn't received the MRI brain scan test (his swollen brain had to be put on a plenty of rests), so not everything is certain yet, but at least he didn't lose his life...
I never really had anything happened to me/around me that relates to the death, but it is really a scary matter, isn't it?
We donno what will happen to us when we die, where will we be going to, etc. because nobody had ever really succeeded on coming back from his/her death & tell us about their experiences...
Anyway, we should just focus on living our lives to the full extent & do everything we can do each day so that if we ever die sometime, we won't have any regrets from our lives :)
......maybe I should try to sleep now since it's 3:30AM...aaaaaaaarrrrggghh!
What is the best beer on planet Earth?
Submitted by Remmy Van Hornie.
In my opinion, this German beer I had at the German restaurant in The Rocks, Sydney, is the best beer on Earth at the moment!
It's called "Spaten" and I can't find this beer at any liquor shops, so everytime I wanna have this precious golden drink, I have to go to that restaurant...
But if the question was "What's the best beer in AU?", then my answer will be Hahn Premium! YUMMMMM!

Ah.. I like this Question of the Day thing. It's much easier & convenient than thinking hard about what to write about on the blog hahaha!
I never had a blog in English...
I've been writing a blog in my first
language, Japanese, over 3 yrs now, but never thought about writing one in
English...
So I'm gonna give it a go for the Eng version here on Vox!
Let's see how long I will last doing this!
Recently
I was over-excited to get the ticket for standing area for Chris Cornell
concert!
I wished I could see him on the stage as a frontman of Soundgarden rather than a
solo artist, but when I first listened to SG's amazing songs, they were already
disbanded...whatta!!!
Then Chris formed Audioslave, which didn't become as huge as SG or Rage Against The Machine (do I need S at the end? I forgot...haha), but I really admired them (I still admire them!) for their songs mixed with Tom Morello's weird wacky guitar tunes & Chris's beautiful voice that gets deep into every one of your cell lol
But gosh,
they also disbanded!
How many times does Chris have to leave his bands?!
Anyway, I'm so glad to be able to see Chris again on stage! (even tho I don't really like his solo albums...sorry Chris!)
And then,
just then, I've found out that Rage Against The Machine is coming to Australia
in January 2008!! OMFG!!!
I really wanna see them live, cos I also missed them when they were really HOT, just before they (temporarily) disbanded in 2002?...
We need more political bands like RATM right now...stupid Bush...stupid war...!
But the thing about their tour in Jan 08 is...that I can't go because I will be in Japan by then for a holiday!!! BUMMERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!
I'll just have to pray for them to tour around Japan in Jan 08...otherwise I'll miss their live yet again!!
Anyway, gotta go get showered & sleep now. Good night~!
PS even if you dont see your cats and hug their bums everyday lol, im glad you get to visit... read more
